PRODEXPO 2016, Moscow
« BackMoscow hosted the exhibition PRODEXPO 2016
The traditional exhibition Prodexpo passed, as always, as a mandatory annual platform for meetings with its partners, suppliers and customers.
The impression is ambiguous. Many traditional participants, foreign partners, simply did not come, considering that the commercial situation in Russia was unfavorable. The stands of many wine-making countries, especially in Spain and France, were simply microscopic. Domestic companies also decreased, some federal distributors decided not to spend money on the exhibition.
It is very noticeable that wholesalers and distributors feel most unwell. Much better things are going with the end sellers - shops and restaurants, and their network structures. They begin to show activity on their own imports under the private label, or create their own collections and wine lists.
Nevertheless, many of our partners arrived, and we held all the previously planned negotiations. A general statement of fact on the Russian market - a drop in imports and demand of 30 - 50%, the market outlook is hazy. Too much is tied to exchange rates, and, accordingly, to the political and economic situation in the Russian Federation. There is a common understanding among manufacturers and suppliers, there is a desire to remain on the market, and, accordingly, a willingness to make concessions. It pleases and gives hopes and prospects for further work.
We hope that at the next international exhibition PROWEIN 2016 we will be able to consolidate all the agreements reached.
